Family Advisory Board
The Family Advisory Board was established through Citizens for Prison Reform and is currently overseen by Citizens for Prison Reform. This work is being done on a volunteer basis by all serving on the board. If you have interest in serving on the Family Advisory Board, please download the application here. We have specific members of diversity and regions we are seeking. Please fill out the application and send it to email@example.com. Further information will be sent to you upon receipt of your application.
The Board meets at least quarterly with MDOC Administration. You must also be available for monthly phone conferences and intermittent work assignment, policy research or national policy research to assist in promoting family engagement.
The Family Advisory Board is seeking input from those who have an incarcerated loved one, or formerly incarcerated. . We invite you to share your concerns and the issues that you feel need to be addressed within the Michigan prison system and to provide solutions to these concerns.
This information will be utilized as we meet with the Department of Corrections to work on bringing change to their policies and practices and suggest solutions that create greater family inclusion.
